The mission of the Inland Empire Museum of Art is to foster and to promote the study, appreciation and understanding of art through exhibits, education and publications in the Inland Empire area of Southern California.

IEMA’s mission is to be the key agent for creating opportunities in the arts for residents throughout the Inland Empire. With strong programs and exhibits our mission is to provide an outlet for contemporary art.  IEMA’s mission is also to offer art classes and a variety of educational outreach programs to schools throughout the community. Art is vital to the education of the whole person. Plato believed that music and art form the “basic” curriculum – not a frill or an extracurricular activity. It is a fact that students with a foundation in music, theatre or art education score higher on standardized tests than those who have never been exposed to the arts. IEMA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization determined to meet these goals.
